Project Work

  • Created Design Notebook
  • Reconfigured VSCode and Git environment
  • Reviewed notes on Risc-16 and onboarding project
  • Consulted with leadership about role and responsibilites for upcoming semester

Week of February 1st

Project Work

  • Read through VIP documentation (NYUProcessor Design Team SoC CPU Core)
  • Had weekly leadership meeting
  • Discussed attendance policy and notebook grading

Week of February 8th

  • Discussed with leads on how to hold makeup meetings/give information to people that can not make the all-team meetings.
  • Looked at onboarding labs 3 and 4.

Week of February 22nd

Project Work

  • Met with Darren to discuss paper, next steps of main project. We have a list of questions for previous members of the team and want to begin working on an outline to have a succesful project.

Week of March 8th

  • General Body Meeting 3/4
  • Discussed midterm grades with VIP
  • Selected members to work on each section of main project (core/AMBA/memory), leading AMBA and memory teams with Darren

Week of March 15th

Project Work

  • Leadership meeting; determined RISC-V 32-bit plan was not feasible.
  • Set up meeting with Professor Dey to discuss project direction.

Week of March 29th

Project Work

  • Met with leadership and Professor Dey regarding the VIP’s future and current progress.
  • Discussed new leadership roles and the process for accepting new members for next semester.

Week of April 5th

Project Work

  • Leadership meeting: shifted goal toward a Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) submission.
  • Pivoted final presentations to focus on MPW project proposals and ASIC design flow.

Week of April 12th

Project Work

  • Discussed upcoming leadership transitions and the leadership team’s MPW presentation idea.

Week of April 19th

Project Work

  • Finalized leadership MPW project: DDR memory controller.
  • Research and slide development for timing and verification portions of final presentation

Week of April 26th

  • Hosted Final Presentations for all members.
